FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ARE THE COST FOR YOUR SERVICES?
We charge a flat $400 up front. We then meet and gather the information required to negotiate your case. At the end of our negotiations, we bring the best possible settlement offer back to you. If that settlement offer meets with your approval, the additional fee would be a percentage of the amount we save you, less the $400 already paid.
HOW LONG DOES THE NEGOTIATION TAKE?
Some cases we can complete in two weeks; others can take 6 months or longer. It all depends on how quickly the Plaintiff takes to respond to our offers. Some, like insurance companies seem to take forever. The nice thing for you is that we don't charge by the hour. We get paid for results and are motivated to get you the best possible deal.
IS THE INFORMATION I GIVE YOU CONFIDENTIAL?
Yes. Some information, with your permssion, may have to be shared with the Plaintiff's law firm. However, only information that builds our case and steers the negotiations to an attractive settlement. Sometimes, banks in particular, will request copies of tax returns. They need to justify the amount that they write off.
WHAT IF I CAN NOT AFFORD THE SETTLEMENT TERMS YOU OFFERED?
It makes no sense to agree to a payment plan that you can not maintain. Creditors know that as well. We analyze your company's cash flow and balance sheet to negotiate an agreement that works for you. Frequently, settlements include a lump sum up front and monthly payments.
